01
Background
She began her career at a Milan law firm, working on complex matters from the start, and gained professional experience abroad. At Studio Legale Bianucci she handles family, child and personal-status law, both in negotiations and in court.
When an agreement is possible, she builds it with the tools Italian law provides, such as assisted negotiation or a joint petition to the court; when it is not, she assists in the litigation. She also handles family disputes involving significant assets, where income, property and investments must be reconstructed precisely, with an accountant’s input where needed.
In family crises she combines technical preparation, constant updating and careful listening: people who come to the firm need to understand what is happening and which options are genuinely open to them.

What she handles
Separation and divorce
Separation and divorce, and the breakdown of unmarried couples, with or without children: custody and the children’s time with each parent, maintenance, the family home and the other financial issues of a couple’s breakdown.
Children and parentage
Juvenile Court proceedings, recognition of children born outside marriage (Article 250 of the Civil Code), actions to disavow paternity (Articles 243-bis ff. of the Civil Code), adoption in special cases (Article 44 of Law 184/1983).
New family models
Civil unions and de facto cohabitation under Law 76/2016, protection of same-sex couples, legal gender recognition proceedings (Law 164/1982).
Personal rights
Legal guardianship (amministrazione di sostegno, Articles 404 ff. of the Civil Code) for people who cannot look after their own interests, even partly or for a period of time; applications to change or add a first name or surname (Articles 89 ff. of Presidential Decree 396/2000).
Relations between generations
Protecting the right of grandparents, and ascendants in general, to maintain meaningful relationships with their minor grandchildren (Article 317-bis of the Civil Code).

Families across borders
Drawing on her training and experience abroad, she handles separations and divorces with an international dimension: spouses of different nationalities, residence in another country, assets abroad.
In these cases the first questions are which court has jurisdiction and which law applies. The answers depend on the habitual residence of the spouses and the children, on nationality and on European and international rules, including Regulation (EU) 2019/1111 on matrimonial matters and parental responsibility, Regulation (EU) 1259/2010 on the law applicable to divorce and legal separation, and Regulation (EC) 4/2009 on maintenance obligations.
International child abduction
She assists parents in cases of international child abduction, when a child is taken to or kept in another country without the other parent’s consent. The Hague Convention of 25 October 1980 provides a procedure for the child’s return and cooperation between the Central Authorities of the two States (in Italy, within the Ministry of Justice).
Speed is decisive: if the application is made within one year of the removal or retention, the court orders the child’s return unless one of the exceptions applies; after one year, return may be refused if the child has settled in the new environment. The firm’s work in this area is described on the family lawyer in Milan page.
